William H. "Bill" Dawson, age 91, of West Palm Beach, Florida, entered into eternal rest on October 26, 2024. Born to Nellie and Thomas Dawson and raised in The Rock, Georgia, Bill dedicated his life to serving others with honor and compassion.
A proud U.S. Air Force veteran, Bill served in the Korean War and met the love of his life, Sylvia Davis, while stationed at Morrison Field (now Palm Beach International Airport). Bill and Sylvia enjoyed 68 wonderful years of marriage. After his military service, Bill found his calling in the funeral industry, devoting 55 years to his career as a Funeral Director. He worked with Quattlebaum Funeral Home, Mizell-Faville-Zern Funeral Home, Memory Gardens Cemetery, and eventually founded Dawson Monument Company, where he offered comfort and guidance to countless families in their times of need.
Bill is survived by his devoted wife, Sylvia Davis Dawson, and his children, Denise Dawson (Kevin Balle), Dale Dawson (Amparo de la Cruz), and Dianna Craven (Robert). He was a beloved grandfather to Matthew Dawson, Michael Dawson, Emily Craven, and Paige Craven.
