Wayne Anthony Warner

January 3, 1957 — October 30, 2024

West Palm Beach, Florida

Wayne Anthony Warner, of West Palm Beach Florida, went to be with our Lord on October 30, 2024. He was born on January 3,1957, to the late Toby and Sharon Warner. He is also predeceased by his sister, Angela Seaberg (Tom). He is survived by his wife, Deanne, his sister Bambi Hollam, his Auntie Annette, and cousins Alan, Steven, Toby Jr., Julie, Tracy and Nick.

Wayne’s father was an expert gunsmith. In early years, his mother was a nurse. Alongside working, she always made time for fun. He talked often of the joy of growing up on the farm and would reminisce of the fun times he had there with his sisters, cousins and all of the animals. After graduating from Rochester High school he joined the Marines, attended boot camp at Parris Island, and then was stationed at Camp LeJeune. He was one of two from his battalion to be chosen for advanced training for combat engineer. Randy O’Neal was the other marine chosen and they became life long friends. They were deployed together to Denmark, Sweden, Germany and Norway. His last deployment was in Okinawa, Japan, after which he received an honorable discharge. Shortly after returning to Indiana, he looked up his good friend Randy, who had returned to Florida. Wayne joined him there and they worked together for forty years. Randy’s family became Wayne’s family, and as designed by God, Randy was also Deanne’s family. Deanne and Wayne dated, fell in love, and were married. They happily resided at their home, “Woodside,” and together, in their spare time, they grew their plant nursery. He was an excellent cook and everyone always looked forward to his fresh green beans at all the family gatherings.

Wayne was a Union member of IUPAT District Counsel 78, and had recently retired after twenty years. He didn’t miss the work but he sure missed his work buddies. One of his interests was restoring old cars. He was a master at antique car restoration and had restored antique Cadillacs from the 1930’s, for Randy’s brother, Neil O’Neal, which were featured in car magazines acknowledging Wayne’s skills.

For Deanne, being Wayne’s wife was the greatest joy of her life. She said almost every day with him felt like the happiness and excitement she felt on Christmas morning. He always said the memories they made together would be etched in his mind forever. Literally, her favorite thing in this world was being his wife. He had an unfailing calming presence. He was generous and always put others before himself. He loved his neighbors and they loved him right back. He could do anything and do it well. His humor, strength and wisdom made life better for everyone around him. Deanne said when under stress, he could remind her in less than one word what to do by pointing toward Heaven. Wayne knew what mattered in life. He loved God and knew where he would be going some day.

He was Daddy to Duke and Princess and Uncle Wayne to Jenny, Casey, Amy, Corey, Abbie, Misti, Jessica, Trisha, Brian, Phillip, Robert, William, Courtney, Michelle, Kyle, Big C (Connor), Collin, Grant, and Tucker. He was very proud of them all and always wanted to know what they were up to. Wayne has left a lasting impression on many and will be etched in OUR minds forever.
