Steven D. Shields

Steven D. Shields, age 65, passed away peacefully at his home in Lake Worth, FL on September 4, 2022, surrounded by all those that he loved. Steven was born in Canada and spent his entire life living in South Florida. Steven is survived by his wife, Amanda M. Shields and his children, Jordan Okun, William Shields, Matthew Shields, and Laura Shields (Daughter-in-Law) and exchange-student son Juan Pablo Nunez. He will be remembered greatly by his grandchildren, Grayson Okun and Zane Shields and his siblings, Heather Thompson, Bob Shields, Gary Shields and many nieces, nephews, and a multitude of friends.

Steven will be greatly remembered for his big sense of humor and his loyalty and commitment to others. He spent his life building buildings, homes, and businesses but he also spent it building strong relationships with those that he loved and cared about. He loved his family, parties, traveling, endless amounts of yardwork and being outside by the pool with his family, friends, and his beloved dog Tony. He had long battled certain illnesses that hindered his quality of life at times, but he always managed them with as much strength and grace that could only come from the Holy Spirt. We rest assured knowing that he is with our Heavenly Father and no longer in any pain or suffering.

A Memorial Service will take place at 10:00 AM at his church, Trinity Church International, 7255 South Military Trail, Lake Worth, FL 33463, on September 9, 2022.

Donations can be made in Lieu of Flowers to the Building Fund at Trinity Christian Academy. This was a project that was near to his heart.
