Sarah Jane Ringelberg Bradley, Grandma Sally
Sally passed peacefully at her home on September 19, 2024, in West Palm Beach at the age of 98.
Sally is survived by her son, Billy Maskill and wife Mary Helen of Wichita Falls, Texas; grandchildren, Hunter Maskill (Megan) and great grandson, Emmett of Atlanta, Georgia, and Jaime Worsham (Graham) and great grandson, Powell of Charleston, South Carolina. She is also survived by her daughter, Jayne Fabry and grandson Tim Fabry of Kalamazoo, Michigan. In addition, Sally was survived by her stepdaughter, Veronica Bradley Naas, and grandsons Charles Rey Naas, Jr. and Harley Dale Naas of Mooresville, North Carolina. Sally was preceded in death by her parents Nina and John Ringelberg.
Sally was born April 16, 1926, to the Ringelbergs in Chicago, Illinois but was raised by her great-grandmother, Sarah V. Beeman, until she went to college. After growing up in a life of music and drama Sally attended Michigan State University where she received a BA in Vocal Music. In 1948 after graduation from MSU, she married Coach Bill Maskill Jr. with whom she had two children. Sally and Coach parted ways in 1960, and Sally moved to Lake Worth Florida to teach Music Education in the Palm Beach County system. Eventually she became the Music Director for the County system for 12 years guiding 109 music teachers and writing the county music curriculum. It was in the hallways of Palm Beach County that she metand married Don Bradley, County Art Director. Sally received a Master’s in Music Education from Florida Atlantic University. She was a long-time member of St. Luke’s Catholic Church and a lifetime member of P.E.O.
Don was an antique motorcycle enthusiast and took Sally to Japan and Europe to enjoy his interests. Most people would not believe, he also had Sally wearing “leathers” and they enjoyed long rides on his antique motorcycles. Sally saw many states following the 53-year football coaching career of her son, Billy, and spent summers in Michigan with her daughter, Jayne. Sally lived independently in her home until she was 94. The family would like to thank the wonderfully intelligent and caring young women who loved for Sally in her last years, as well as her caring neighbors. We were all blessed, just like any that met or knew Sally.
A Celebration of life will be with the family later. Memorial donations should be sent to St. Lukes Catholic Church, 2892 South Congress Ave, Palm Springs, FL 33461.
