Ruth Rewti Rambaransingh

April 3, 1946 — March 16, 2025

Lake Worth, Florida

Ruth Rewti Rambaransingh was born in Carapichaima, Trinidad on a beautiful Wednesday April 3, 1946, to Ragbir and Jankie Ramkhalawan, the sixth of seven children. She is survived by her youngest son, Brent, and her baby sister, Angela Pearlyn, and many loving extended family members. She was predeceased by her husband, Harry and her first born son, Walt.

Ruth spent her early life living with her family down South in Santa Flora, Trinidad, where she attended Erin Road Presbyterian School followed by Irie High School. She then joined the nursing program at San Fernando General Hospital where she was at the top of her class. She then traveled to New York where she continued her education and worked as an LPN before returning to Trinidad to work at San Fernando General Hospital. She worked in many different departments until settling down into the blood bank doing phlebotomy.

A short time later, she married her husband, Harry in December 1974 and wasted no time starting their family. She welcomed her first son Walt in September 1975, quickly followed by her second son Brent, in September 1976. She continued working at the hospital and taking care of her family for many years before deciding to move her family to Florida in 1990 so that her children would have better opportunities in life.

When they arrived in Florida they spent the first few months in Miami. It was nice but, they ultimately decided to move north to Lake Worth where they found the amazingly supportive neighborhood, Chatsford Landing in Lake Charleston, with equally wonderful neighbors. During this time she worked alongside her best friend, Shirley Nandlal, at various Assisted Living Facilities in a managerial capacity inspiring and teaching many along the way. She was recognized for her skills, teaching abilities and her kindness.

Outside of work she enjoyed gardening and entertaining friends and family. And if there was music, you would always find her dancing. She loved a good fete or beach lime. She loved to travel, and has been all over the world. She loved to go shopping with her sisters and that always turned into an adventure. Her most extraordinary trait was her kindness.

While her passing has left a void in the lives of her friends and family, we know that she lived a full life and always made her family and friends better people. She always said that she knows that there will be grief when she passes but wanted us to celebrate her life in every possible way. We love you. We’ll miss you, and your life will continue to be an inspiration to many.
