On February 5, 2022, I quietly passed away. My story began in Macon, GA on January 11, 1939. I was a surprise to my older sister, Joan, and I was surprised with 2 more sisters, Sharon and Jody. Like one of my favorite authors, Louis L'amour, I always wanted to be a cowboy with my six shooter and buckskin steed. As life would have it I graduated from Palm Beach High and joined the Air Force Reserve. I earned degrees in law enforcement and culinary arts. I was also a free Mason and master in plastering. After my deputy sheriff career in NC, I moved back to FL, where I started my own plastering company. Because of my love of cooking, I pursued my 20+ year career as a Field Manager for the Palm Beach County School District Food Services Department.
I leave behind my wife, Geraldine Thomasson, my son, Jeff Thomasson, my sisters, Jody (Thomasson) Anderson and Lyn (Stevens) Rentz, my special niece, Pamela Baldwin, along with nephews, nieces, cousins, friends, and my Friendship Baptist Church family. My Lord took me home where I was greeted by my parents Fred and Mamie, my son Todd, my sisters Joan and Sharon, along with a host of family and friends.
Please don’t mourn the loss but remember our good times and the love we shared. See you on the other side
Roger (Steve)
