Roberto was born in the small port town of Jucaro, Camagüey, Cuba. The family moved to Central Agramonte in 1942 where Roberto lived until he immigrated to the United States in July of 1961. Roberto lived in Chicago, Illinois until the late seventies. He then moved to Miami, Florida where he lived until his untimely death. He served in Vietnam and upon his return began working for Pan American World Airways. He worked at Pan Am until its demise. His years at Pan Am were his happiest. He traveled the world and forged life-long friendships. Roberto could always be counted on as life of the party. He was a great storyteller and everyone always looked forward to his countless stories.
Roberto will be sorely missed by his many dear friends and family. He is survived by his brother, Aldo; sister-in-law, Mercedes; nieces, Mayra (Wilson), Ana Maria (Rick), Mercy (César); grandnephew, Alec; grandniece, Analisa.
Inurnment with military honors will take place Tuesday February 26, 2019 at South Florida National Cemetery 6501 South State Road 7, Lake Worth, Florida 33449. Please assemble in lane #1 by 2:15 pm.
