Philip A. Bruderman, II, age 66, of West Palm Beach, Florida passed away on August 18, 2020 of sudden heart failure. Philip was born in Queens, New York on February 15, 1954. He was a nurse at the local Veterans Hospital and retired in 2014. Phil was predeceased by his father, Philip, his older sister, Janet and his younger brother, Raymond. He is survived by his married partner of 33 years, Rodney D. Jennings; his 93 year old mother, Gladys Volkens; his brother, Augie Volkens and his sister, Gladys Barros of Connecticut. Phil will also be lovingly remembered by his many friends from Union Congregational United Church of Christ on Summit Boulevard, West Palm Beach as well as many other friends in the area who will miss him dearly.
Visitation will take place from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Sunday, August 23, 2020 at Tillman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2170 South Military Trail, West Palm Beach. A prayer service officiated by Rev. Dr. Sheila Harvey Guillaume of United Church of Christ will begin at 5:30 PM at the funeral home on Sunday. Following services, Philip will be laid to rest in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in rural Bluffton, Ohio. A Memorial Service will take place at United Church of Christ at a later date.
Phil was an organ donor and Mr. Jennings requests memorial donations be forwarded to the national ASPCA at aspca.org as Phil was a member and monthly donor for forsaken and abused pets.
