Paula Quiñones

Paula Quiñones of Greenacres, Florida passed away peacefully surrounded by family and close friends on October 18, 2024 at 83 years young.

Paula was born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico on January 27, 1941 and later moved to New York City where she raised her three children. She retired as a laundress at Cobble Hill Nursing Home after working there for many decades.

Paula loved to cook for her family and her specialties were habichuelas blancas, tripe and pasteles. She loved steak and seafood restaurants even more and is known for saying she “has champagne taste on a beer budget “. Her favorite hobbies were weekly shopping trips to the Thrifty and watching scary movies.

Paula is survived by her sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews, children, grand children and great grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered for her wry sense of humor and insightful wisdom. She was one of a kind and to be loved by her was to be truly blessed. Paula will be missed by all those that she has left behind, but will live forever in our hearts.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at Tillman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2170 South Military Trail, West Palm Beach, Florida. Paula wished to be cremated and to be remembered as a hard-working, loving, kind woman who loved life.
