Osvaldo V. Zavarella

Osvaldo V. Zavarella, sadly passed away on February 17th, 2021 in Palm Beach County, Florida. He was 75 years old. He will be missed dearly by all that knew him.

Mr. Zavarella is survived by his children, Salvatore M. Zavarella, Marc A. Zavarella (Melissa), Andrew J. Zavarella, and Ayelynn M. Zavarella, as well as his granddaughter Sophia A. Zavarella (Marc). He is survived by his sisters Pia Lucente, Silvia Natale, Rosanna Zavarella. Additionally, he is also survived by his wife, Lucy Peuguro.

Osvaldo, known affectionately as “Ozzie,” was born in Pratola Peligna, Italy on August 17, 1945. He received an MSW from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He worked in Social Work for New York State for most of his career. In both his career and personal life, Ozzie enjoyed providing support & care to others. An avid wine maker, he loved continuing the yearly family tradition and found great joy spending time with his children and sisters, sharing his knowledge and humor. Always there if you needed him, he would drop everything to listen and offer a kind and open ear.

A small memorial service was held in the care of Tillman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2170 S. Military Trail, West Palm Beach, Florida. A larger celebration of Osvaldo’s life is being planned for this upcoming summer.
