Nancy A. Rhyant, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on Friday, June 25, 2021 at the age of 66 in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Nancy is lovingly remembered and survived by her devoted sister and constant companion Cathryn; Benny Lee (Viola); Lee Ernest (Evelyn); Virginia (Ronald); Cheryl (Gary); Richard (Sharon); nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, and many cousins. She is preceded in death by her older brother Harding Jr.
Nancy was born November 28, 1954, in Fort Pierce, Florida. She was the sixth child of the late Mr. Harding and late Mrs. Evelyn (Toombs) Rhyant. Nancy professed her faith in Jesus Christ at a young age. After she obeyed the gospel, she would later use The Bible to teach people how to read. She was an alumna of Fort Pierce Central High School (FL) and a proud graduate of Bethune Cookman University (FL). Nancy worked as a dedicated social worker for many years with the State of Florida’s Helping Hand Neighbors and the Department of Children and Family assisting various people find homes and reconnecting them with their families.
She enjoyed board games, baking, teaching people how to cook, singing, and spending time with family and friends. Nancy loved all her family members, especially her nieces and nephews, of whom she was most proud.
On Saturday, July 10, 2021, family, friends, and others touched by Nancy’s life are invited to gather at Tillman Funeral Home (2170 S Military Trail, West Palm Beach, FL) at 10:00 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment at Hillcrest Memorial Park (6411 Parker Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL) will take place at 1:00 p.m. The Reverend Canon Winston Joseph celebrant. The memorial service will also be live streamed from www.tillmanfuneralhome.com
