Michael A. Pancia

Lake Worth, Florida

Michael Angelo Pancia was born on March 5th, 1946, in Far Rockaway, New York, to Angelo and Mary Pancia. He went to local public schools and graduated from Far Rockaway High School. 

He enlisted to the US army and served as a naval mechanic in Vietnam for four years on the USS Coral Sea and USS Constellation. 

When he returned home to New York, he joined the NYPD, in which he protected & served until retirement. 

Michael was loyal to his family and friends and loved the beach. He enjoyed the beach club, watersports, snorkeling, fishing, puzzles, playing poker, singing karaoke, riding motorcycles, fixing cars & smoking cigars. He was always supportive of his town baseball and football teams.

He drove the local schoolbus until he relocated to Lake Worth, Florida. There he worked for TSA and found purpose & enjoyment in supporting the veterans of the American Legion.

Michael Pancia departed this life on Wednesday, October 23, 2024.

He was preceeded in his death by his father Angelo Pancia, mother Mary Pancia, sister Barbara Isola and daughter-in-law Carla Pancia.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his daughter, Lisa; three sons, Michael, Anthony and Christopher; daughter-in-law, Johanna; grandchildren, Jazmin, Christian, Caleb, Lilly, Isabella and Noah; great grandchild, Marcus, all of Long Island, New York; one brother-in-law, one niece and two nephews; and other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at Tillman Funeral Home & Crematory, West Palm Beach. A Memorial Service officiated by Deacon Peter Mazzella will begin at 11:00 AM at the funeral home followed by Inurnment with Military Honors at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida.
