Martin Lewis Leafer

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Martin Lewis Leafer formerly of Peabody, Massachusetts and Delray Beach, Florida on October 8, 2023 at the age of 87. Martin, a proud US Army Veteran, was a beacon of kindness, love and laughter, who could always be found working in the garden, climbing a ladder, or making homemade applesauce. 

A dedicated husband, father, Papa, and friend, Martin's warm smile and gentle spirit touched the hearts of every single person that he knew. 

He will be lovingly remembered by his family, including his beloved wife, DeeDee Leafer, their two children, Sheri Publicover, Suzie Leafer, his grandchildren, Adam Publicover, JJ Publicover and his wife, Holly, brothers Jerry Leafer, Norman Leafer, and his sister, Audrey Leahy.

He imparted valuable lessons of compassion, hard work, and resilience to his family, leaving a lasting legacy that will continue to flourish for generations to come. Martin's passing leaves a void that can never be filled, but his memory will forever be cherished as a testament to a life well-lived and a heart that overflowed with love.

Funeral Services with Military Honors will be held 2:00 PM Friday, October 13, 2023 at Tillman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2170 S. Military Trail, West Palm Beach. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association in his name.
