Our precious mother and grandmother, Marie Venette Louis, has left us. She died peacefully on Monday, July 22, 2024, at home in Wellington, Florida. She was 90 years old. For years, although Marie Venette had an incurable disease, we always hoped to see her with us for a little more time by our side and share her love. She devoted her life to her children. She had a friendly attitude and a willingness to help everyone. She had immense kindness and incredible generosity. She loved her children and her family very much. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and was always there at times when we needed her the most. She was a gift from God. Marie Venette was born in the province of Jérémie in Haiti. She gave her life to Christ while she was hospitalized at Memorial Hospital in September 2015. She had touched many hearts in so many ways. She was a support system in the family, a strong woman who faced many challenges. Her doors were always open to everyone.
She moved to The United States in 1977, residing in Miami, Florida. Her home was a shelter for many, whether in Haiti or Miami, Florida. She always loved to have a whole house of family and friends. She was a great mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her children will always cherish her fond memories. As a grandmother, she was a fun grandma and often spoiled her grandkids rotten. Marie Venette was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Lemoine Lafleur. She is survived by her children Jean Fauzy Lafleur, Laura Lafleur Merisme, Marie Jude Pyram Walsworth, Marius Lafleur, and Pierre Paul Lafleur; her grandchildren, Justina Pyram, Princely Lafleur, Natalie Pyram, Vanessa Lafleur, Amanda Lafleur, Clarisse Laure Merisme, and Samantha Lafleur; her great-grandchildren Ezra Pyram Tojuola and Aalyiah Rowe, her brother Baltazar Chery, her sister, Maria Louis, and countless nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, friends and many others upon whom she made a positive impact. We will dearly miss our mother.
