Mariana P. Avila

Mariana ‘Ani’ Poblano Avila, age 76, of Boynton Beach, Florida, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2020.  Mariana was born in Edinburg, Texas on July 25, 1943.  Mariana is survived by her mother, Luciana R. Poblano, her daughters, Delores (Lolie) A. Mass and Irene A. Cardona (Antonio Sr.), and her grandchildren, David (DJ) Joseph Mass (Candie), Antonio (AC) Cardona, Jr., Roberto V. Cardona (Gabriella) and the family pets, Callie and Rose.  Mariana is also survived by her brother David R. Poblano (Nora) and sisters; Eva Avila; Dalia Martinez; Belicia Cavazos (Ramiro); Rafaela Villarreal and Jova Villarreal; sister-in-law’s; brother-in-law’s as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mariana is predeceased by her husband, David ‘Chito’ Avila, Jr.; her father, Jose Poblano; her sister; Teresa Mercado; her brothers; Isidro Poblano, Sr.; Domingo Poblano Sr.; Jesus “Keanu” Poblano and Crescencio Poblano.

Mariana was retired from Bethesda Memorial Hospital after working for them for over 20+ years in the Patient Accounts department.  Mariana was a loving, caring and giving person that would do anything for her husband, her daughters, her grandchildren and especially her mother, Luciana.  Mariana loved to cook, read her romance novels, Christian Devotionals and also watch her daily Spanish novelas. 

Mariana and her husband David were both active members at Christ Fellowship Church in Boynton Beach.  Mariana surrendered her life to Christ in June of 2019 and has been a follower of Christ every day.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 27, 2020 from 10am to 1pm.  For family and friends that are unable to attend, we’ll have a Webcast available from 11am to 12 Noon.  Link to be provided.

Please note that only 10 persons are allowed inside each chapel and hallway at one time.  Everyone must wear a mask and practice social distancing.  All others will have to wait outside.  The funeral home staff will be assisting in making sure that we all have time to pay our last respects to such a wonderful and loving woman.  If you are not comfortable coming to the funeral home due to the current pandemic, please know that we understand. 

Please meet us at the cemetery for Mariana’s Graveside Service at 1:45PM.  The Graveside service will be held at 2PM at the Boynton Beach Memorial Park Cemetery off of Woolbright Rd and Seacrest Blvd.
