Josephine Lanza

Josephine Lanza, 97, of West Palm Beach, FL, has passed away peacefully at her home on the morning of September 17, 2020. She is survived by her three sons and their wives including Stephen & Karen, Larry & Norma and Robert, her two granddaughters, Kristina and Judith, four great-grandchildren, her 15 year partner and best friend, Harold Abrams, and many loved nieces and nephews.

Jo was the last survivor of five LaPeruta children, born in the Bronx, NY. She was a cherished mother, wife to Patrick C. Lanza (with whom she was married for 54 years), and grandmother. During her life, Jo worked as a secretary and executive assistant at Chanel in NYC. She was loved by all who knew her.

Josephine was a woman who measured her recipes in handfuls and pinches, who scolded when necessary but did so with a smile, whose laugh made her eyes crinkle up, and who put love into all that she did. Her home and friendship always felt comforting. She could often be found in the kitchen preparing meals while talking with her company. The memories of her are boundless and she will live on in the hearts of those who held her dear. 

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 345 South Military Trail, West Palm Beach, Florida.
