Joseph James Ferrulle

November 28, 1981 — December 8, 2024

Lake Worth, Florida

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph James Ferrulle, age 43, of Lake Worth Beach, FL, formerly of Marshfield, MA, on December 8, 2024 after a courageous 4 year battle with neuroendocrine cancer. Joe passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family and friends, just days after celebrating his birthday on Thanksgiving.

Born in Quincy, MA, Joe was the son of James & Gloria (Perry) Ferrulle of Marshfield. He was raised and educated in Marshfield where he was known for his exceptional athleticism. As a powerlifter and star football player, he set the record for most fumble recoveries in a game. Joe’s athleticism continued after high school as he played football at Saint Anselm College, where he proudly served as Captain and wore the number 55.

Joe was an avid fisherman and yacht Captain traveling the world to catch sailfish, tunas, wahoo and marlins up and down the East Coast as well as in Canada, Costa Rica and Mexico. After college, Joe moved to Florida where he founded NautiBill, Inc., a yacht management company with the motto “Life is Short, Buy the Boat.”

In 2019, while delayed on a return trip home due to boat repairs, he met the love of his life, Kristina Maria Lee of Edgewater Maryland. The two were married in West Palm Beach, FL, in 2022, and spent their days fishing and living as Captain and First Mate.

In addition to his parents, Joe is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Kristina “Kristi” Ferrulle of Lake Worth Beach, FL, his dear sister Sarah Ferrulle of Foxboro, MA and his cherished nephew and Godson Luca Joseph, who absolutely adored his Uncle Joe and his fishing stories. He is also survived by close friends all over the world, as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Mass celebration will be held at St. Ann’s Church, 587 Ocean Street,  Marshfield, Massachusetts at 10:30 AM on Saturday, February 8, 2025. A celebration of life will take place at a later date in Florida.
