John “Jack“ O’Shea of Lake Worth, Florida passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, January 31st. He was born in Haverhill, Massachusetts, to Timothy O’Shea and Esther (Leary) O’Shea on March 14, 1937.

He grew up in Haverhill with his two sisters, Patti and Maureen. Jack attended Haverhill High School (Class of 1955). He then went on to college at Northeastern University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting. He excelled in sports especially in Basketball and Baseball at the High School and College Level.

Jack worked his career path in Finance (Accounting) and eventually rose to the position of Vice President of Finance at Yield House in North Conway, New Hampshire. Jack met his wife Catherine (Buono) at Yield House and then retired from his position fifteen years later. Jack and Cathy relocated to Boynton Beach, Florida in 1995.

Jack was a sports enthusiast and a life-long fan of the Boston Red Sox, and New England Patriots. He loved Jimmy Buffet and became a Parrot Head of the Jimmy Buffet Club. Jack was known for being incredibly friendly and had an avid love for cats and dogs.

He is survived by his loving wife Catherine (Buono) O’Shea of Lake Worth, Florida; his two children from his former wife, Phyllis Baines: daughter Elizabeth Ann Ryan of Beverly, Massachusetts and son Kevin Patrick O’Shea of Greenwich, Connecticut.
He is also survived by James Michael Christie (Catherine’s son) and his wife Kerri of Pembroke, Massachusetts. He is the grandfather of Declan Ryan, Matthew Christie and his wife Monique and Amanda Christie. He has one great grandson, Malcolm Christie. Jack is survived by his sisters Maureen Donovan of Bradford, Massachusetts and Patricia Cavallaro and husband William of Wolfeboro, New Hampshire along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends.

There will be a celebration of life in Massachusetts at a later date.
