Rev. George M. Zaloom, Sr.

George M. Zaloom, Sr. , age 96, of Lake Worth, Florida passed away at home on February 26, 2025. George was born in Brooklyn, New York on November 11, 1928. He was a veteran of The US Army. George is survived by his wife of 72+ years, Violet A. Zaloom; five children, Jeanmarie (Richard) Sayour, George M. (Joan) Zaloom, Jr., Nadine (Richard) Gabriel, Mona (James) Dowda and Paul (Kristen) Zaloom; fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; brother, Vincent M. (Mona) Zaloom, Sr.

George was truly a man of God, whose life was a reflection of his love for Jesus Christ and his love for others. He was passionate for God’s Word and his life was transformed by it. George was a man of integrity and a faithful husband to his wife Violet. His greatest joy was spending time with his wife, children, grand children and great grandchildren. He was thrilled to receive mail from his many grand/great grandchildren especially when it included a home-made card or a hand drawn picture.

The walls are full of these treasures!

Even into their later years, George and Violet found great fulfillment in serving others through feeding the poor, ministering in the nursing home, and leading Bible studies. George’s legacy of his strong faith in Jesus coupled with his love for his family will be remembered by the many lives that have been touched by him.

George will be laid to rest privately with Military Honors at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida.
