Gail Patricia Dempsey

Gail returned to her heavenly home on April 9, 2025, where she is now with the Lord, in bliss with her beloved family members who preceded her, such as her mother, Margaret Dempsey, and her father, Michael Dempsey plus her brothers Mike and Mark and many other loved ones.

Gail is survived here on earth by her treasured and beloved son, Tyler S.H. Dempsey, her brother Kenneth E. Dempsey, her beloved cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives and countless friends who will miss her dearly.

Gail lived most of her adult life in Palm Beach County, Florida, where she rose to become Counselor, then Clinical Director, and eventually Executive Director of the Gratitude House, a Substance Use Disorder residential treatment center in West Palm Beach. Gail dedicated her whole self passionately to this endeavor, and was responsible for helping thousands of women turn their lives around over a period of thirty years. Gail pursued and earned her Bachelor's Degree, then Master's Degree in Social Work.

Previous to this, she was a passionate animal rights activist who successfully fought the mandatory euthanizing of former racing greyhounds. Her love of animals, particularly Weimaraners, would last a lifetime as she just said goodbye to her devoted Danny Boy.

Her brother and mother were with Gail on vacation in Madrid in younger days when Gail got out of her seat to demand rights and mercy for the poor slaughtered bull! We had never been so proud of her!

Gail has dedicated her life to helping others, and some have had a chance to return the favor. She is eternally grateful as she now watches over us in Heaven.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at Tillman Funeral Home & Crematory, West Palm Beach. A Funeral Service officiated by Rev. Aidan M. Lacy will begin at 12:00 PM at the funeral home followed by interment at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery in Royal Palm Beach, Florida.
