It is with joy that we announce the arrival of Erma Gayle Perry in heaven and life eternal with her Lord and Savior. She passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023. Born in Parsons, West Virginia on November 18, 1930 to Leo and Madge Arbogast, Gayle lived in Parsons and Elkins, West Virginia for much of her life and was a proud graduate of Davis & Elkins College.
She married Donald Lee Perry in 1951 and they resided in Elkins until moving to Florida in 1967. Gayle was a hostess extraordinaire and delighted in having her family together. Her passion for decorating for Christmas was enjoyed by friends and family and she created a wonderfully festive home. She loved serving the Lord and one of her happiest memories was supervising the joyous wedding receptions held at her church, Good Shepherd United Methodist (Community of Hope).
Gayle had a great sense of humor and loved to make others laugh with her unexpected quips. She will be dearly missed by her family and is survived by her three children Mark (wife, Michele) Susan (husband, Peter) David (wife, Ruth), four granddaughters Melissa, Vanessa (husband, Conor), Emily, Megan (husband, Rob) and two great grandchildren Sydney and Brock.
A celebration of life service officiated by Dr. E. Dale Locke will be held on Monday, March 20, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Community of Hope Church, West Palm Beach Campus, 2341 S. Military Trail in West Palm Beach. Should you wish to honor Gayle with a gift please give a gift to a church or charity of your choice.
