Edward “Ed” Bruce Westfall, 63, passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 3rd, 2024 after a long battle with stage four lymphoma. He was surrounded by family and friends until his last breath.
Ed was born in Akron, Ohio on September 4th, 1960 and raised in Lake Worth, Florida. He was alumnus of John I. Leonard High School, Class of 1979.
Ed spent 29 years as a courier, with the first four years at UPS and the remainder at FedEx, then switched careers in 2008; entering the insurance field. He specilalized in both life insurance and Medicare enrollement as part of The Assurance Group’s West Palm Beach office where he worked until his passing.
Ed was a true extrovert who loved people and getting to both talk with them and genuinley hear their stories. He was also a devoted foodie and enjoyed going out to eat and firing up the grill for his family and friends. He was a jokester and would always have a “dad” joke to tell you. If you knew him, I’m sure he made you aware your zipper was up every chance he got.
Ed is survived by his wife of 35 years, Ana Westfall, son Casey (Kayla) Westfall, granddaughter Hollyn Westfall, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and brother/sister-in laws and hundreds of friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Clarence, his mother Loretta, and his sister Kathy.
His celebration of life will be held at Journey Church’s West Palm Beach campus at 2341 S Military Trail, West Palm Beach, FL 33415 on September 17th, 2024 from 7:00pm to 8:00pm. To honor Ed’s lively personality, we ask that those who attend do not wear black, but instead wear vibrant colors, or something representative of their favorite sports team, in honor of Ed’s love of sports. We are asking instead of donating flowers, please donate your blood in honor of Ed. You can donate to One Blood or the American Cancer Society at https://amp.cancer.org/.
