Diana Joan Myrie

October 4, 1949 — September 8, 2024

Lake Worth, Florida

Diana enjoyed the relaxed pace of life in the western communities of Palm Beach County and was a member of St. David’s in-the-Pines in Wellington for the past twelve years. She actively participated in several parish ministries including the Altar Guild, Daughters of the King, Episcopal Church Women and Flower Guild. She was regularly seen on Sundays serving as a greeter or usher and often received compliments for the beautiful floral arrangements she designed for the altar.

Her early years were spent on the island of Jamaica, W.I. where she dreamed of becoming a lawyer. Her life was forever changed however when she lost both parents and instead embarked on a career as an administrative officer with the Jamaican government.

Diana later seized the opportunity to travel to the U.S., residing first in New Jersey before moving to Florida. She quickly realized during her 25 years in the retail industry how much she enjoyed meeting people from different backgrounds and cultures and happily embraced the multi-ethnic experiences that living in South Florida offered.

She credited her faith in God for her ability to touch many lives with prayer and friendship especially during troubling times. She described herself as an avid gardener who was devoted to animals and yes, helping people.

She was admitted to the Order of the Daughters of the King (DOK) in June, 2014 where she undertook a vow to pledge herself to a life-long program of prayer, service, and evangelism. Diana proudly wore her DOK Cross and shared that it gave her the daily courage and strength to reach out and help others renew their faith in God.

Her spiritual journey continued in May 2016 when she completed the Episcopal Women’s Cursillo #111.

She will long be remembered for her grace, her faith and the way she inspired others to serve the Lord even in times of adversity. She was truly a reflection of God’s love & her light shined brightly.

May her soul rest in eternal peace and light perpetual shine upon her.
