Delmont Ervin Goodine

Delmont Ervin Goodine, age 90, sadly left us on December 1^st following a heart attack. A loving and beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, he spent his life always helping others. Born in Houlton, Maine, he built his family and legacy through devotion and hard work. His fondest memories included raising his family in Watkins Glen, New York, where he worked for the Watkins Glen State Park, served as the Watkins Glen School District Superintendent of Transportation, and was mentored by Lester Smalley at Smalley's Garage. He is survived by his wife, Carol; his sister, Joyce; his two sons, John, and Jeffrey; and his six daughters, Laura, Elise, Lue Anne, Linda Adele, Devon, and Stefani, as well as five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Delmont carried a passion for music, believed in loving and caring for everyone, and was known to give a helping hand to anyone in need – traits he instilled in all his children. His family is planning a celebration of life ceremony to be held in Spring of 2023. We invite you to donate to the Habitat for Humanity, an organization Del loved and supported, in lieu of flowers. He will be missed very much by all of those who loved and cared for him.
