Daniel Lang, 61, died December 10, after a brief illness. He will be remembered for his love of family and friends. Daniel is survived by his mother Marie and his brother Mark (Tina). He was predeceased by his father John and his sister Martha.
Dan was born at St. Mary’s Hospital in West Palm Beach on December 18, 1958 to John and Marie Lang. Baptized, confirmed and received Communion at Holy Name, he attended Holy Name School and graduated from Twin Lakes High School. His favorite sport was track and field where he tried to hit the 14 foot mark in pole vaulting. After high school, he enlisted in the Air Force and when he had served his four years, he returned to West Palm Beach. Dan wanted to become a fireman along side many of his friends; but when that wasn’t possible he trained as an electrician. Dan loved to play – whatever the sport – golf, flag football, tennis, bowling – you name it. And when he couldn’t play he enjoyed watching his favorite teams – the Dolphins and the Marlins. He was a diehard fan of both teams regardless of their losses. As to family, his younger sister Martha died at age 13 – a great loss to him. No one was prouder of his baby brother Mark than Dan. He was delighted to be best man when Mark married Tina and enjoyed being with them. After a short marriage to Joy, he moved in with his parents and was God’s blessing in helping his mother take care of his father who had Alzheimer’s. Dan moved to Jupiter in December 2019 and into his own place, of which he was very proud. Dan’s friends, both from high school and work, loved being with him. He had an infectious laugh (also called “goofy”) and never missed a party.
