Clifford O. Taylor

Clifford O. Taylor, age 96, of Lake Worth, Florida passed away September 22, 2022. Mr. Taylor was dedicated to Florida education for 42 years.  During the last 21 years of his career, he served as the principal at Kirkland Elementary in Palm Springs, Florida.  After Mr. Taylor’s retirement in 1991, the School Board approved renaming Kirklane Elementary to Clifford O. Taylor / Kirklane Elementary.  Mr. Taylor supported an educational environment where students and staff were encouraged to excel. He served in all offices of the Lake Worth Lions Club and was an active member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church.  Mr. Taylor was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II, stationed aboard an LST in the South Pacific.

He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy Ann Pearce Taylor in 2015.

He will be lovingly remembered by his family, including his nephews, David P. Stephens, Paul A. Stephens, Ronnie M. Taylor, Allan Taylor, Thomas Taylor, nieces, Joy Carr, Tish Taylor, Kelly Hays-Gilpin, and Julie Healy.

The family will receive guests 9:30 AM-10:30 AM Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Tillman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2170 S. Military Trail, West Palm Beach.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 AM, Saturday, October 1, 2022 at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Lake Worth, the Rev. Corinna Olson celebrant.

Burial will take place at Ebenezer Cemetery near Golden, Illinois.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts sent to St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 100 N. Palmway, Lake Worth, Florida 33460 would be appreciated.
