Cile Lanier
Blanche Cecile “Cile” Lanier went home to Heaven on Tuesday, January 30, 2024. Cile wasborn in Tampa, Florida, on March 14, 1936, to Cecil “Buck” and Blanche Louise Mattheus. A much beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Cile touched and influenced many lives through her involvement in the church, both locally and nationally. She was also an active member of her community. She worked for many years at Publix Supermarkets before retiring; she later worked for Pride Integrated Services in the Probation Department, and at A Better Cut Salon in West Palm Beach.
She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Sidney Marcus Lanier, in 2013. She is survived and will be dearly missed by her daughters Pamela (Scott) Wilson and Cynthia (Daniel) Johnson; her grandchildren Kenneth (Rose) Wilson , Amber Wilson, and Ashley (Graham) Harris; and great-grandchildren Michael Wilson and Sean Wilson.
Interment will be at Memory Gardens. There will be no visitation or service at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request donations be made in her memory to the Florida Baptist Children’s Home, of which Cile and Sid were longtime patrons.
