Barbara Regina Demetropoulos

Barbara Regina Demetropoulos, 78 of Lake Worth, Florida passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 23,2022 after courageously battling brain cancer.

Barbara was born in Rockaway Beach, New York to Henry and Frances Schultz on August 23, 1943. She attended high School at West Islip High School on eastern Long Island graduating in 1961. After her graduation from Secretarial Business School in Manhattan in 1962, she began a long career as an Executive Secretary. On October 10,1964 she married Alex Demetropoulos. The two were happily married for 48 years until Alex’s passing in 2012. She was a loving wife, mother and homemaker to her husband and three sons. She also very proudly served for over 10 years as a Eucharistic Minister in the Catholic Church. She enjoyed, the beach, traveling, cooking, movies, reading, music, dancing, volunteering at the church and most of all spending time with her family and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Frances Schultz, her sister Regina Schultz and her husband Alex.

She is survived by her three sons Gregory, Michael, Mark and her daughter-in -law Elizabeth. She is also survived by her three granddaughters Rebecca, Lily and Nicole as well as her two step granddaughters Emily and Amanda Trusky.

A Memorial Service will be held for Barbara at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lake Worth on Friday April 1, 2022 at 11:00am with Father Quesnel Delvard officiating.
