Annette DiViccaro, Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Friend
Annette DiViccaro, a fiercely loving and unforgettable woman, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2025, at 4:04 PM, surrounded by her devoted family. She was 79 years old.
Annette was a true original—a beautiful blend of strength, compassion, and flair. She knew exactly who she was and lived life on her own terms, always with heart.
A natural-born caregiver, Annette was endlessly nurturing. Taking care of others was her calling and her joy. She cared deeply and gave generously—always looking for the next person to love, support, or protect. She cared for her parents with devotion and grace, moving her mother into her home to care for her during her final years—a loss she never stopped feeling. She also lovingly cared for her husband, Joe, through his final days, just as she had supported him through life with fierce loyalty and pride.
Annette and Joe were high school sweethearts and lifelong soulmates. Their love was filled with laughter, devotion, and a sense of fun that made life together a joy. They loved going to Fort Myers Beach every year—a place where they found peace and happiness in each other’s company. One of their favorite things to do was karaoke—Annette with her powerhouse voice and Joe always cheering her on. Whether they were dancing, traveling, or just sitting together in silence, their bond was unshakable. He was the love of her life—and now, 20 years after his passing in May of 2005, they are finally reunited.
Annette built a beautiful life with her children, Joe and Alisa, and poured her heart into her role as their mother. Her pride only grew with her grandchildren—Jessica, Toni, Joey, Stephen, and Nicolas—and her great-grandchildren, Levi and Olivia. Her family was her world, and she showed her love every single day in ways big and small.
Right out of high school, Annette became a hairdresser and eventually ran her own salon in Utica, New York. Her work wasn’t just a job—it was a reflection of her creativity and her connection with people. Her clients adored her, and many became lifelong friends.
Always dressed to the nines, Annette had a flair for fashion, a love for the spotlight, and a glow that turned heads and lit up every room she entered. She was eccentric in the best way—unapologetically herself, full of sparkle, laughter, and sass.
Annette is survived by her son, Joe; her daughter, Alisa; her grandchildren, Jessica, Toni, Joey, Stephen, and Nicolas; and her great-grandchildren, Levi and Olivia. She is also remembered by extended family and dear friends whose lives she touched with her big heart and unforgettable spirit. She joins in eternal peace her beloved husband, Joe, and the loved ones who passed before her.
Per Annette’s wishes, no formal services will be held. The family asks that those who loved her keep her memory alive in their hearts and in the way they care for others—just as she always did. In honor of Annette’s generous spirit and her love for music and community, donations can be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) in her memory. Contributions will support programs that assist veterans and their families. Donations can be made online at https://www.vfw.org/donate.
Annette will be remembered for her strength, her song, her sparkle, and her boundless love. She was everything. And she always will be.
