Ann J. Shay

Ann Joanne “Jo” Shay, 78, of Palm Springs, FL, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2024, after a courageous and brief battle with small cell lung cancer.

Jo was a kind-hearted, caring woman known for her infectious laugh and warm smile, which brought joy to everyone she met. Her genuine friendliness and compassion for others will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Jo is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Shay Sr.; her parents, Jack and Gisele Eiler; her brother, Daniel Eiler; and her great-granddaughters, Gisele Bradley and Addison Engle.

She is lovingly remembered by her surviving family members: her sisters Laurie Thompson (Tim), Chris Eiler (Ray Hinton), and Dixie Eiler; her brothers Mike Eiler (Linda) and Jeff Eiler; her children Patricia Shay, Dawn Bradley, Becky Fox (Bobby S), Stephanie Shay (Jose Rado), and Donald Shay Jr. (Linda). Jo’s legacy lives on through her grandchildren: Kayla Shay, Jacob Shay, Tyler Rankin, Alexander Engle (Mariah Carr), Dylan Fox (Erin), Elexis Silvis (Zakk), Colby Bradley, Christian Rado, and Caleb Rado; and her great-grandchildren: Peyton Shay, Addie Silvis, Maggie Silvis, Landon Rankin, Quinton Engle, Faith Engle, and Samantha Engle.

A private service for the family will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024. The family invites all that knew Jo to a celebration of life 3:00-5:00 PM on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Gun Club Cafe, 4631 Gun Club Road, West Palm Beach, Florida 33415.
