Angie Shinn LaFoy Weber Duberstein, age 81, of Lake Worth, Florida passed away at home on January 29, 2021. Angie was born on November 27, 1939, the third of four sisters, to Harold Frank and Lois Shinn in Landis, North Carolina. She is survived by her sisters, Frankie Freeze, Comeleta Overcash and Barbara Childress.
Angie and her first husband, Bill LaFoy (deceased) had three children: Laura Cain, Alan (Sandy) and Ron (Denise), and seven grandchildren: Steven Cain (Jenifer), Aaron Cain, Matthew Cain (Valerie), David Alan LaFoy (Betsy), Kandis LaFoy, Denise's sons Garrett and Evan Knowles. She later married Paul Weber (deceased) and helped raise his three children, Roger (children, Ryan and Andrew), Lori (sons, Eric and Jimmy, daughter, Christi) and Mark.
After Pauls's passing, Angie met her current husband, Joel Duberstein, and they were married for 28 years. His two children, Shani Magosky (Brad) and Nanci Warner (Chris), joined the blended family along with Nanci's sons, Aidan and Kyle Warner.
She is survived by all her children and grandchildren. In addition, there are four great grandchildren: Jeniven and Grace Cain and Wyatt and Dylan LaFoy.
Angie Attended Landis High School in Landis, North Carolina. After three years of marriage, she and Bill moved to West Palm Beach, Florida, where their children were born. She then attended Beauty School and received her Cosmetology License. She was a cosmetologist, hair stylist & aesthetician. She retired in 2015.
Upon moving to West Palm Beach she was a member of First Baptist Church, West Palm Beach, where she taught 2nd grade Sunday School and sang in the choir. She was also a member of a group that sang in other churches.
On February 19, 1993, Angie married Joel Duberstein at Palm Springs Baptist Church and continued to worship there and Boca Raton Community Church. In 2008, they joined First Baptist Church of West Palm Beach (now Family Church Downtown), where they have worshipped since. Angie also sang in the choir and helped lead a new "Divorce Care" class for six years.
Angie was a caring, considerate, and loyal friend to many. As a devout Christian, she lived the word every day of her life and will be welcomed into Eternity.
Her family would like to thank the many relatives, friends, and neighbors who visited, called, and sent cards during her illness. A special thank you to Trustbridge Hospice for the dedicated and compassionate care in her last month. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Trustbridge in her memory.
A Memorial Service will be celebrated at 2:00 PM on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at Tillman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2170 South Military Trail, West Palm Beach. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until service time at the funeral home on Sunday.
