Angela Rosa Herth, age 94, of Lauderdale by the Sea, Florida, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 22, 2020.
Angie was born in Manhattan New York on April 27, 1926 and lived in NYC and Brooklyn before moving to Elmont, NY. She was the daughter of the late Angelo and Maria Paccione who both emigrated to the USA from Bari, Italy. Angie was the oldest and last surviving sibling of the large Italian Paccione family. Her siblings that proceeded her in death were Michael, Anna, Peter, Clara, Connie, and Bernadette. The Paccione’s were a big, close knit family. Huge family dinners and annual holiday celebrations were a mainstay of the Paccione tradition joining all of the many extended family members young and old together.
Angie worked for a local dental practice in Elmont for 45 years. She and Jim had three children, Mar-yann, who passed away in 2018, Patricia and James. Angie was well loved in her small town where she had many lifelong friends as well as extended family members. She attended St Boniface Catholic Church. After retiring in 1994, Angie and Jim moved to Lauderdale by the Sea, FL. This was a dream of theirs for many years. There they acquired many new friends and enjoyed many traveling adventures together. They particularly grew fond of taking cruises, going on more then 50 over the years! They loved seeing the world on the ocean. Of course this allowed Angie to do her very favorite past time as well, SHOP! She enjoyed shopping for unique items everywhere she went.
Surviving Angie is her beloved husband of 74 years, James Herth, her children Patricia Herth Schroeder and her husband Kihm, James Herth and his wife Maureen, eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Angie will be laid to rest at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Farmingdale, New York. A crypt side service will take place on Tuesday December 1st at 1:30p EST.
