Andrew Jones Francis affectionately known as "Screwball" to family and friends. He was born on June 14th, 1948 in Estill, South Carolina to the loving Parents of Benjamin Francis and Althea Beckett Francis. Andrew was the first of 5 kids, leaving to cherish his memories, brothers Isiah and Larry Francis of Pompano Beach Florida, Winford Francis and Shirley Shederick (preceded him in Death).
Andrew was educated in the Broward County School District. After graduating High School he joined the United States Marine Corps where he served as a Marine Steel Artillery Cannoneer in the VIETNAM WAR.
Andrew made the transition during the early hours of the morning of November 16, 2024 at JFK hospital in Atlantis, Florida.
He leaves to mourn his passing son Keith (Sylvia) Evans of Boca Raton, Florida; two caring daughters, Teresa (Edward) Clair of West Palm Beach, Florida and Karen Francis of Houston, Texas (Jerrell Shaw) of Gainesville, Florida; two Bonus Kids, Corey and Elizabeth Francis both of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; three Special Kids, Denise Hughee and Leroy Roberts both of Estill, South Carolina and Samantha Watts Beazer of the British Virgin Islands. Andrew will also be lovingly remembered by twelve grandchildren; six great grandchildren; five bonus grandkids; two special great great grandkids; uncle, Deacon Bernard Beckett of Estill, South Carolina; aunt, Deaconess Carolyn Beckett Dixion of Newark, New Jersey and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends, too numerous to mention.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at Tillman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2170 South Military Trail, West Palm Beach. At 1:00 PM we will have an escorted procession to South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida where Andrew will be laid to rest with Military Honors rendered by the US Marine Corps.
