Americo Andrew Ciarfello, age 89, of Greenacres, Florida passed away peacefully on May 29, 2021.
Americo was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and served his country humbly and with pride as he never left his house without his 24th Infantry Division veterans hat.
He will be lovingly remembered by his family including his wife of 68 years, Jean C. Ciarfello of Green Acres and son, Paul Ciarfello and wife Joan of Chestnut Ridge and daughter, Joan Negast of Green Acres. He is also survived by his grandson Michael Negast and wife Stephanie; granddaughter Stacie Cervini and husband John and granddaughter Lisa Ciarfello and wife Kaitlin. He will be greatly missed by his three great-grandchildren, Giavanna Jean, Angelina Grace and Francesca Marie.
Americo was born in Hawthorne, NJ and resided there for the majority of his life before retiring to Florida. He was an avid lottery player and loved spending time at the dog track and casino; penny slots were his favorite. Americo loved watching sports, especially the New York Giants, New York Yankees and Rutgers college football.
A Committal Service with Military Honors will take place 3:00 PM Monday, June 14, 2021 at South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth.

Arrangements are in the care of Tillman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2170 S. Military Trail, West Palm Beach.
