With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Amado, a devoted husband, father, patriot, and visionary, who at 82 years of age completed his earthly journey and entered the embrace of our Lord. Until his final breath, he was surrounded by the love of his beloved wife and high school sweetheart, Maria, and their cherished children, Amado, Raul, and Ana.
Amado’s life was a testament to resilience, faith, and unwavering dedication to family. As a young man, he bravely fled communist oppression in pursuit of freedom, carrying with him little more than hope and an unshakable will to create a better future. Through determination and hard work, he built not only a life but a legacy one rooted in love, sacrifice, and the boundless opportunities of his adopted homeland.
A proud and faithful servant of the United States, Amado wore the uniform with honor, dedicating himself to the ideals of liberty and justice. His service in the U.S. military was a reflection of his deep gratitude to the nation that had given him refuge and a new beginning. Beyond his military service, he became a pioneer in the mass transportation industry, helping to shape the very infrastructure that connected people and communities just as he did in his own life, bringing people together with wisdom, kindness, and integrity.
A man of great intellect and insatiable curiosity, Amado found joy in history, engaging in deep philosophical conversations that often extended late into the night. He lived by the precepts of Tikkun Olam, the sacred duty to repair the world through acts of kindness, justice, and service to others. He believed in the power of good deeds, in the responsibility we hold to uplift those in need, and in leaving the world better than we found it.
Though we mourn his passing, we take comfort in knowing that his legacy endures in the love he gave, the wisdom he imparted, and the lives he touched. His strength, devotion, and unwavering faith will forever guide those who had the privilege of knowing him.
