Alicia M. Philyaw

Alicia M. Philyaw, age 87, of West Palm Beach, Florida passed away on July 15, 2023. Alicia was born in Camaguey City, Camaguey, Cuba on January 22, 1936. She attended Havana Business Academy and in 1962 moved to Belle Glade, Florida. Alicia later moved to West Palm Beach, Florida.

Alicia was predeceased by her daughter, Alicia Margarita Philyaw in 2019. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, JW Philyaw; son, James Philyaw; daughters, Rose Marie Philyaw and Michelle (Juan Carlos) Gomez; grandchildren, Gabrielle Gomez, Juan Carlos Gomez, Jr., Julian Eurich and Catherine Eurich; sister, Lilian (Miguel) Reyes. Alicia will also be lovingly remembered by her special friend, Maricela Fernandez, as well as many other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at Tillman Funeral Home & Crematory, West Palm Beach, Florida. A Funeral Service celebrated by Rev. Aidan M. Lacy will take place at 7:00 PM at the funeral home on Tuesday. A Graveside Service will follow at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery in Royal Palm Beach, Florida.
