Adam Randall Priest

February 20, 1959 — April 27, 2024

Palm Beach Gardens

Adam Randall Priest died April 27, 2024. He was 65 years old.

Adam was one of the smartest, wisest, funniest and most generous people ever. He will be forever loved and missed by his family: his wife, Debra, his mother, Alice Shafran, sister, Andrea Priest, and nieces Alyson and Alexandra Tockstein. His devoted and loving cousins, Jody and Gary Gallagher, and his Aunt, Judy Subotky, came frequently from as far away as California, to keep his spirits up, and they succeeded wonderfully, as did the residents and staff at La Posada where he lived in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. His remarkable aide, Franklin McCollum, joyfully partnered with him every day with care and fun.

Despite his nearly total physical disabilities, he continued to work as a computer engineer, and he found ways to help others with their dreams. Nor did he allow his physical problems to destroy his infectious good nature. He was a daily gift to everyone who loved him and an inspiration to all of us.

He will never leave us.

Adam was predeceased by his father, Richard N. Priest.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the ALS Association or to Jefferson Moss-Magee Rehabilitation Hospital, Philadelphia, PA.
