TONY J. LOFASO 10/17/1921-8/7/2009 Tony was born in New York City “Hells Kitchen” to Felice and Isidore Lofaso. One of 9 children he grew up playing baseball and handball. He proudly served our country as Army Master Sergeant in India during World War II. Upon returning from the war he was married to his sweetheart Beatrice for 63 wonderful years. Proud father of 5, Anthony (Blanca) West Palm Beach, Phyllis Graham (Patrick) Boca Raton, Michael (Lisa) Snelleville, GA., Jeanmarie Morganelli (Rick) Conyers, GA., and Patricia Lavallee (Mark) Franklin, MA. His biggest joy was his 12 grandchildren ages 32-10, Alejandro, Felipe (Liz), Darryl, Daniel, Jeffrey, Douglas, Sara, Clare, Emily. Joanna, Abigail and Cole. Tony is survived by 3 sisters, Anne Spinelli, Paula Tuzzolo, and Mary Miraldi. Tony delivered mail in NYC for the US Postal Service where he always took the extra step to help people on his route. He retired to West Palm Beach in 1986 and has enjoyed bowling, Bocce, cards and golf. Tony and Bea loved to dance and travel. He was active in his community of Cypress Lakes in West Palm Beach volunteering for many organizations and committees. He was honored by the Sheriffs Department as a member of COPS for over 20 years. He received many awards for all his years of community service. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10 AM Monday, August 10, 2009 at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, West Palm Beach, the Rev. Alfredo I. Hernandez, celebrant. Entombment with military honors will follow at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery, Royal Palm Beach. The family will receive guests 2-4 and 7-9 PM Sunday at TILLMAN FUNERAL HOME, 2170 S. Military Trail, West Palm Beach where prayers will be said at 8 PM.
