Jack W. Braun After a courageous six year battle with cancer, Jack, 75, with his loving family by his side, went to be with his Lord on August 25, 2008. Jack was born in Detroit, MI, and moved to Lake Worth in 1947 where he attended Lake Worth High School, married, and raised his family. He spent three years in the Navy and 30 years with the South Florida Water Management District, Chief of Real Estate Division, retiring in 1985. Jack was recently predeceased by his mother Grace W. Trhlin. He is survived by his one true love of 53 years, “Katie” L. Kathleen; sons Andrew and Jay (Kavita); sister Barbara T. Schrader (Eric); extended family Harriet (Robert) Florio, Sally Venezia, James Nutt, Nancy (Ray) Duffey, Harrison Norrell, David (Marie) Nutt; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. He was actively involved with Good Shepherd United Methodist Church and was blessed with many Christian brothers and sisters. Jack had a strong belief in the ministries of Dunklin Memorial Camp and was on the Board of Directors at the Refuge Ranch, faith-based rehabilitation centers for men and women, respectively. To know Jack was to love him. He was a kind and gentle man. His eyes were always on the Lord, and that was clearly evident to all those around him. He was dedicated to his family and cherished and provided for them. He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends. Braun will be held on Sunday, August 31, 2008 at 3 p.m. at Good Shepherd UMC, 2341 S. Military Trail, West Palm Beach, FL with the Rev. Steve Ruegg officiating.
