Helen Elizabeth Powers

Mrs. Helen E. Powers, age 88, formerly of Lake Worth, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2009 at Martin Memorial Hospital in Stuart following a brief illness. Mrs. Powers was born October 28, 1921 in Malden, Massachusetts to the late Charles W.H. & Edith (Nation) Burland. Mrs. Powers was a Registerd Nurse and retired from Bethseda Memorial Hospital and later worked with Hospice of Palm Beach County. Mrs. Powers is survived by her children; sons, Joseph Powers of Delray Beach, Florida; Michael (Laura) Powers of Albany, New York and Stephen (Christa) Powers of Stuart, Florida; daughters, Ann Rugnetta of Canton, MA and Marie (Scott) Jordan of Carrollton, Georgia and Janet (Robert) Johnson of Port Orange, Florida; 18 grandchidlren and 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services for Mrs. Powers will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at Tillman Funeral Home, 2170 South Military Trail. Visitation for family and friends will be from 1:00 until service time. Interment will follow at Lake Worth Memory Gardens, Lake Worth. Services entrusted to Tillman Funeral Home, 2170 South Military Trail, West Palm Beach, Florida.
