EDWIN BRADFORD (BRAD) LOCKE Edwin Bradford (Brad) Locke, 77, of Stuart, Florida, passed away Tuesday evening, June 17th from Pulmonary Fibrosis at Treasure Coast Hospice surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Framingham, MA on August 16, 1930. Brad attended Bordentown Military Institute, Bordentown, NJ. He graduated from Melrose High School, Melrose, MA, Class of 1949. He attended Burdett Business College in Boston, MA in 1950. He then joined the Navy in 1951. While stationed at the Naval Base in Green Cove Springs, FL Brad met the love of his life, Sharon Hall, of Starke, FL. They were married June 29, 1952 at First United Methodist Church of Starke, FL. He was discharged from the Navy in 1954 and attended the University of Florida. He began his career with Nabisco in 1956. In 1958 he was promoted to Publix representative for Nabisco in the Tampa/Clearwater area. Brad retired from Nabisco in 1991 as a Regional Sales Manager where he covered a large portion of Florida. Brad was an avid Gator Sports Fan holding season football tickets since 1956. He and Sharon enjoyed traveling the country in their motor home. However, even greater than his love for the Gators and traveling with his precious wife, was his vibrant love for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was last a member of First United Methodist Church of Stuart, Florida where he served as a delegate to the Florida Methodist Conference. Prior to his association with the Stuart Church, Brad, along with Sharon have enjoyed serving the Lord in each church they have been associated with. Brad is survived by his wife Sharon, three sons, Mallon Bradford Locke (Suzanne) of Deltona, Rev. Dr. Edwin Dale Locke, (Beth) of Royal Palm Beach, and Dean Jenness Locke (Kimberly) of Stuart. Four Grandchildren, Hannah, Jeremy, Haley and Shelley, one brother, Thomas Leonard (Patricia) and one sister, Ruth Whitney (Don) both of Massachusetts. Three nephews and 2 nieces. A Funeral Service will be Monday, June 23rd at 1:00PM, at the First United Methodist Church, Stuart, FL, 1500 S. Kanner Highway. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 noon until service time. Interment will be held on Tuesday, June 24th at 1:00PM, Crosby Lake Cemetery, Starke, FL. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Community of Hope Methodist Church Building Fund, address 14101 Okeechobee Blvd., Loxahatchee, FL 33470.
