Shirley L. Lurix

Mrs. Shirley Lurix, 82, Wellington, Florida, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at Palms West Hospital following a brief illness. Mrs. Lurix was born July 3, 1927 in Bridgeport, Connecticut to the late Burnett & Rachel (Merritt) Ludwig. Mrs. Lurix moved to the Wellington area in 1988 from Tamarac. Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Paul Lurix of Wellington; sons, Paul (Cynthia) Lurix of Sealy, Texas and Joe (Beverly) Lurix of Wellington; grandchildren, Dr. Einar (Sandra) Lurix, Christopher (Diane) Lurix, Alex (Carol) Lurix, Suzanne Lurix and Andrea (Michael) Jutte and her great grandchildren, Emma Jutte, Hannah Jutte, Elyse Jutte, Grace Lurix, Grant Lurix, Ella Lurix and Oliver Lurix. Funeral Services for Mrs. Lurix will be held 4:00 pm Saturday, January 9, 2010 in the Chapel of Tillman Funeral Home, 2170 South Military Trail, West Palm Beach. Visitation for family and friends will be from 2:00 - 4:00 pm at the funeral home.
