Ruth A. Toomey

Mrs. Ruth A. Toomey, 87, West Palm Beach, passed away Thursday April 15, 2010 at Hospice of Palm Beach County following a brief illness. Mrs. Toomey was born October 7, 1922 in Billerica, Massachusetts to the late James & Alta (Morris) Reynolds. Mrs. Toomey was a retired bookkeeper for the Palm Beach County School Board. Mrs. Toomey was a member of Mary Immaculate Catholic Church and moved to West Palm Beach in 1958 from Massachusetts. Ruth is predeceased by her loving husband James Toomey in 1989. Mrs. Toomey is survived by her loving daughters, Patty Greene of West Palm Beach; Linda (Randy) Ihnen of Lake Worth and Diane (Don) Wilkie of Lake Clarke Shores; 3 grandchildren, Theresa (Steve) Dluhos and Shellie (Ryan) Krejie both of Cordova, Tennessee and Michael Greene of Hernando, Mississippi; 3 great-grandchildren, Cameron, Reese and Braden. A Funeral Mass for Mrs. Toomey will be held 10:00 am Friday, April 23, 2010 at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church with Father Glen Potheir as celebrant. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Avenue, West Palm Beach, Florida 33407.
