Lenore Rubinstein

LENORE G. RUBINSTEIN Age 93, of South Palm Beach, Florida passed away January 22, 2010. Mrs. Rubinstein is survived by son, Peter Rubinstein and daughter, Judith Ahronheim, grandchildren, Benjamin and Esther Ahronheim. Lenore graduated from Hunter College in New York and received her Masters Degree in Education from the University of Pittsburgh. She was a journalist, reporting for Newsweek and a journalism professor at Allegheny Community College and the University of Pittsburgh. She was a 50 year member of the League of Women Voters in both Pennsylvania and Florida and served locally on the South Florida Water Board. She was active on the scholarship committee at the Gale Academy of Environmental Science and Technology at Forest Hill Community High School. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at TILLMAN FUNERAL HOME, 2170 S. Military Trail, West Palm Beach, where the family will receive guests after 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Community Care Association, 1651 Lake Avenue, Lake Worth, FL 33460
