On Thursday, February 18, 2010, Marie Anne Madore of West Palm Beach, Florida, formerly of East Hartford, CT passed away peacefully. She was the beloved wife of her husband Joseph L. Madore who predeceased her in 1991. Marie is survived by her loving children, Marie (Phil) Maurie; Barbara (Don) Brennan; Trudy Madore and Robert (Diane) Madore; step-daughter, Betsy (Bill) Dunn; sister, Maudia N. George Gauvin; brother, Claude Belliveau and a very close family friend, Jan Prophet; she is survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were her cherished extended family. She was devoted to taking care of children who were wards of the State of Connecticut as well as teaching religious classes at St. Rose Church in East Hartford, CT and St. Luke Catholic Church in Palm Springs, FL. She was an active member of the Ladies Guild at St. Rose Church while in East Hartford and a communicant of St. Luke Catholic Church. She was involved in East Hartford politics and employed at Royal Typewriter, Pratt & Whitney and through the East Hartford school system where she mentored young women to prepare them for the working world. A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Madore will be celebrated 10:30 am, Monday, February 22, 2010 at St. Luke Catholic Church with Father Paul Chung Nguyen as celebrant. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Memorial Park, Lake Worth. Visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday, 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
