Mary Louise Ellis

Mary Louise Ellis, age 76 of West Palm Beach, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at Hospice of Palm Beach County after a courageous battle with cancer. Mrs. Ellis was born December 22, 1932 in Taunton, MA to the late Arthur & Madeline (Manion) McGovern. Mary Lou worked for the Dept. of HRS for more than 30 years and was an active member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church for over 50 years. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Robert Ellis Sr. and brother, James (Jimmy) McGovern. Mrs. Ellis is survived by her 5 children, Patricia (Jerry) Debald of Carlisle, KY; Sandra (Mike) Laterza of Butler, PA; Robert (Deborah) Ellis, Jr., of Loxahatchee, Marrianne (Carey) Huffstetler of Palm Beach Gardens, and Jona (Jack) McClain of Loxahatchee; 2 sisters Ruth Burke of East Taunton, MA and Patricia Ruthemeyer of Plantation, FL and 1 brother Edward (Teddy) McGovern of Rayham, MA; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Mary Lou was an inspiration to all who knew and loved her. She was and always will be the greatest MOM grandmother and great grandmother in the world. You’re our rock and foundation and the wind beneath our wings. Our hearts are with you and we will carry your love always until we meet again.
