Mr. Jack V. Mazzola, 93 years old died in West Palm Beach, Florida on Friday, July 9, 2010. Mr. Mazzola was born on February 5, 1917 in Garfield, New Jersey to the late Vincent & Anna (Granato) Mazzola. He attended the University of Minnesota and Fairleigh Dickinson University. Mr. Mazzola became a navigator and served in the United States Army during World War II. His career, however, was as an insurance agent for over 40 years. It brought him to West Palm Beach in 1959, where he watched his three daughters reach maturity. Jackie Mazzola, Theresa (Terry) Daly and Patricia (Angelo) Rizzo were the light of his life. His family grew with the birth of his seven grandchildren. Michelle, Eileen, Paul, Sandra, Anthony, Frank and Jack. Time brought additional joys when the great grandchildren arrived. Lindsey, Chelesa, Thomas, Christoper, Justin, Christine, Genevieve and Angelo guaranteed that the clan would continue to grow and prosper. Upon the death of his wife, Annette, Jack married Christina Kelly and with her came a host of extended family members. Seven step children and six step grandchildren. His kind, gentle, humorous influence was felt by many including a bevy of nieces and nephews and a throng of friends as well as in-laws. Funeral arrangements include a visitation for family and friends on Thursday July 15, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Tillman Funeral Home, 2170 South Military Trail, West Palm Beach, Florida. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 16, 2010 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 345 South Military Trail, West Palm Beach, Florida. Father Gavin J. Badway will be the celebrant. Interment will follow at South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth with military honors. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donation be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Avenue, West Palm Beach, Florida 33407 in memory of Jack Mazzola.
