Walter F. Abrams, Jr.

Age 76, of Greenacres, Florida passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2011. Walt was an area resident since 1985, having come from Hockessin, Delaware. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of Korea, a member of Palm Beach National Golf Club, and a parishioner at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, West Palm Beach, where he served as an usher. Walt will be lovingly remembered by his family, including his wife of 51 years, Claire D. Abrams, two sons, Stuart M. Swinger and Vincent D. Abrams, three grandchildren, Jacob Abrams, Lindsay Swinger and Joshua Swinger, and a sister, Elizabeth (Nick) Georgis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 11 AM Monday, May 23, 2011 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, West Palm Beach, the Rev. Gavin Badway celebrant. The family will receive friends 2-4 PM Sunday at TILLMAN FUNERAL HOME, 2170 S. Military Trail, West Palm Beach, where prayers will be said at 3:30 PM.
