Jane Westervelt

Mrs. Jane Westervelt, 92, West Palm Beach passed away Monday, March 28, 2011 at JFK Medical Center following a brief illness. Mrs. Westervelt was born March 9, 1919 in Coatbridge, Scotland to the late Thomas & Elizabeth (Mc Cann) Sugrue and moved to the West Palm Beach area in 1997 from Michigan. She attended St. Juliana Catholic Church with her daughter and grandchildren. Mrs. Westervelt is survived by her loving daughters, Mary (Paul) Picard of Lake Worth and Jane (Bill) Ofshlag of Loxahatchee; brothers, John, Jim, Thomas; sisters, Rose and Mary and her beloved grandchildren, Paul Picard IV and Kristina Picard. A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Westervelt will be celebrated 10:00 am, Friday April 1, 2011 at St. Juliana Catholic Church, 4500 South Dixie Highway, West Palm Beach with Father Alfredo I. Hernandez as celebrant. Interment will follow at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery, Royal Palm Beach. Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday evening 6:00 - 8:00 pm with a Wake Service at 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
