Robert M. Hart Jr.

Robert M. Hart Jr., 93, of West Palm Beach, the “ BEST” father, grandfather and kindest soul, passed away Friday, January 21, 2011 at JFK Medical Center following a brief illness. Robert was born June 1, 1917 in White Palins, New York to the late Robert M. & Caroline (Ferris) Hart and he moved to the West Palm Beach area in 1960 from New York. Robert is predeceased by his loving wife of 72 years Marjorie (Purdy) Hart. He was a proud United States Army veteran of World War II. He was Master of Philipstown, New York Lodge of The Free and Accepted Masons in 1956 and a member of the Masonic Fraternity of New York for the past 60 years. He has been a member of The International Union of Operating Engineers Local 137 in Briarcliff, New York for the past 65 years. Robert is survived by his loving children, Marjorie (Philip) Davies of West Palm Beach; Robert M (Sharon) Hart, III of Cold Spring, New York; grandchildren, Kelly (Major) Callaway; Jamie McAtee; Gregory (Robin) Hart & Kelly (Jeff) Mason; great-grandchildren, Jeffrey (Julie) Roach, Taylor Beckner, Alaura McElyea, Jordan Almodovar, Ashlee Alomdovar & Jake Robert Mason. Funeral Services for Robert will be held 7:00 pm Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at Tillman Funeral Home, 2170 South Military Trail, West Palm Beach, Florida with Reverend Aidan Lacy officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be from 6:30 until service time.
